“I met George less than one year ago at the Holocaust Memorial Center in Farmington Hills, where he gave me, along with the rest of my eighth grade class, a brief insight into his life experience. Not only was I intrigued by his extraordinary story, but I was deeply moved by his ability to maintain joy and humor despite what he had been through. After his talk, he sung us a portion of “Thank Heaven for Little Girls” causing the entire audience to clap and cheer as he exited. Thank you, George.”
