She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband James F. Slater; her family Marcia; her children, James C. (Judy), Eileen Feret (Rick), Dennis (Karen), Dawn Gaikowski (Ralph), Terry and Dale (Dianne); her pet Tents; and her brothers, Clayton (Joanne), Gary (Marti) and Wayne (Mary). She was also cherished by her 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
