He was predeceased by: his parents, Axel Olson and Eva Olson (Kallungi); and his brothers, Phillip, Charles, Leonard and Andrew.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Maki; his children, Stuart, Mike Olson (Nancy) of Misery Bay and Ren Hunter (Paul) of Baltic; his grandsons, Brooks Olson (Lindsay) and Brady Olson (Kelly); his great grandchildren, Ahriana, Isabelle, Lynola and Edith Olson; his siblings, Robert Olson (Jan) of Tapiola, Pete Olson (Gail) of Tapiola and Anita Heikkinen (Wesley) of Wisconsin; his sister-in-law LaVonne Olson of Tapiola; and also Stan "Mutti" Laurila of Toivola. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Range Apostolic Lutheran Church or Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly in Stuart's name.
