She was predeceased by: her parents, Arturo Patiño and Elvira Hernandez Patiño. She is survived by: her daughters, Estella Huizar-Kaczmarek (Dave), Natalia and Elena; her grandchildren, Lily, Liam, Ophelia and Logan; and her siblings, Arturo (Irma), Mario (Emilia), Susana (Virgilio), Danny (Marge) and Norma. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
