He is survived by: his parent Frances Root; his wife Vicky; his daughter Lindsey Babcock (Jason); his grandchildren, Jena and Austin; and his siblings, Perry Root (Kathleen), Phyllis Farrell, Amy Drongowski (Bill), Charlotte Dwyer (Dennis), Jim Root (Pat), Donald Root, Louise Robbins (Ken), David Root (Katie) and Ed Root.
