He was predeceased by: his parents, John Flanigan and Marie Flanigan; and his siblings, Mary Eileen Wolfgang (Donald), Jack Flanigan (Patricia), Mortimer Flanigan (Bessie), James Flanigan and Rose Marie Stammer (Donald).
He is survived by: his wife Bernadette; his daughters, Jennifer Flanigan, Laura Pennycuff (Chad) and Colleen O'Rourke (Thomas); his grandchildren, Reagan, Brynn, Lincoln, Julia and Colin; his siblings, Tom Flanigan (late Joan), William Flanigan (Judy) and Barbara Rebennack; and his sister-in-law Therese Flaingan.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 2:30 PM, on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM, at 1:00 PM and at 2:15 PM. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home (122 W Lake St, South Lyon, MI 48178). The lying in state will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (830 S Lafayette St, South Lyon, MI 48178, USA). A prayer will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
