He is survived by: his wife Gloria Bruhowzki; his sons, David McDermit and Daniel McDermit (Jeanette Dubay-McDermit); his grandchildren, Haven and Fallon; his daughter Joy Jones; his grandchildren, Jada and Mason; and his brother Dennis McDermit (Karen).
