We bid farewell to Lorraine Govan (South Lyon, Michigan), born in Biddeford, Maine, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 6, 2025 at the age of 95. Lorraine touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her adoptive mother Flora Libby (Willie Libby); and her great-grandparent Lorraine. She is survived by: her husband Edmund Govan; her children, Catherine, Phillip and Margaret; her sister Pauline Brody; her children, Marge, Michael (Gretchen), Anne (Soumi), James (Dorothy) and Charlotte (Brian); her grandchildren, Phillip (Jamie), Ellie (Jake), Michael (Courtney), Brandon (Lezane), Raven, Harrison, Carter, Kenneth, Gracen, David and Alexis; and her great grandchildren, Reagan and Riley. She is also survived by her children.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home (122 W Lake St, South Lyon, MI 48178). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (711 Rickett Rd, Brighton, MI 48116). A graveside service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (25800 W 10 Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48075).
