It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen Elena Aufschlager of South Lyon, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on July 15, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alan Tulppo and Anna Helmi Tulppo (Aho); and her siblings, Sharon Tulppo (Bennett) and Fred Tulppo. She is survived by: her husband Gert Aufschlager; her sons, Greg Aufschlager (Susanne "Suzy") and Jeff Aufschlager; and her grandchildren, Alexander, Olivia and Jacob.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association.

“Dear Curt and Family -- So very sorry to hear we have lost our "Dear Kathy" -- When my husband, Bob was still here we had many lunches with Curt and Kathy. We took turns driving to lunch & then who didn't drive provided dessert after. They continued to include me after I lost Bob in 2017. They were special friends & when they moved closer to family they gave me their porch bench which I enjoy daily. I missed them both & was sorry they had to leave the area. Prayers & love. Marge Hunt”
