He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Schaden and Sarah Schaden (McGowan); his former wife Bertha "Bert" Ellen Kelly; and his stepson Mark Kelly. He is survived by: his wife Irene Ferguson; his stepchildren, Jackie Rostek, Tom Kelly (Donna), Mary Simmons (Brad), Robert Kelly (Stacy), Michael Kelly (Anna), Kathleen Bruno (Bob), Sharon Grimando (Leonard) and Irene Viti (Bob); his siblings, Richard Schaden (Hongli Stacey), Tom Schaden (Veronica), Mary Ellen Robertson (John), Fred Schaden (Chris) and Sally Schaden (Kate O'Brien); his grandchildren, Cameron, Emily, Jonathan, Josh, Thomas, Liam, Alex, Ava, Rupert, Katie, Jenna, Colin, Matthew and Adrianna; and his great grandchildren, Libby and Jamie.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 at 10:30 AM. A vigil service was held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Casterline Funeral Home (122 W Dunlap St, Northville, MI 48167). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church (133 Orchard Dr, Northville, MI 48167). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (25800 W 10 Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48037).
