He was predeceased by: his parents, Selden Simpson and Nellie Mae Simpson; his daughter Karen Beard; and his stepbrother Jim Cox. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Frederick Simpson (Patty) and Kelly Sitarek (Kurt); his grandchildren, Frederick Simpson (Sarah), Justin Beard, Christopher Simpson, Cody Beard, Nicole Engleman (Brandon), Kyle Sitarek and Jessica Beard; and his sister Barbara Compton (James). He is also survived by his six great-grandchildren.
