He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Carlsen and Betty Carlsen (Schenkel); and his daughter Cathy Carlsen Schindler. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine; his daughter Lori Przybylo (Nick); his son-in-law Ty Schindler; his granddaughters, Sarah and Rachel; and his brothers, Charles Carlsen (Sue), Earl Carlsen (Carol) and Frank Carlsen (Diane). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude.
