He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Detavernier and Jean Detavernier (Warden); his brother Dennis Detavernier; his wife Barbara Ann Detavernier (Colquhoun); his children, Craig William Detavernier (Catherine Marzolf) and Carrie Jean Starman (James); and his grandchildren, Kyle Edward Detavernier (Jennifer Quitko), Erin Nicole Blatchford (Craig Blatchford), Michael George Betz (Gabrielle Troy) and Cara Ann Betz.
