He was predeceased by: his parents, Velma Strong and Willie James Strong; his wife Joan; his son Ryan Strong; and his siblings, Richard, Lowell, Charles, Emmett, Melvin Lasenby, Ronald Strong, Marlene Williams and Charlene Lasenby.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Strong (Barry) and Jetaun Strong of Dallas Texas; his grandson Ryan; and his sisters, Sandra Pye of South Haven, Evelyn Green (Johnnie) of Gary and Olivia Lasenby of Detroit.
