He was predeceased by: his brothers, Howard (Maze Marie), Willie (Jacqueline), James (late Dorothy) and Tyrone Whitfield (Diane). He is survived by: his wife Cathy Whitfield; his children, Terry Whitfield, Jr. (Leah) of Kalamazoo, La'Shay Brown Taylor of Mississippi, Shaqueta Monique Mathison of Grand Rapids, Carleton Warrens of Conway, Shareese Warrens of Grand Rapids, Andre Warrens of Grand Rapids, Akashia Austin-Whitfield of Kentucky, Kenaue Austin and Willie Austin-Whitfield of Kalamazoo; and his siblings, Lewis Whitfield (Bertha) of Crystal Springs, Larry Whitfield, Sr. (Rejenar) of South Haven, Ben Whitfield of Pullman and Sally Ann Whitfield of Kalamazoo. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
