He was predeceased by: his wife Marlene; his parents, Herbert and Helen; and his siblings, Ronald and Barbara.
He is survived by: his son Bill Schalon (Suzy); his stepchildren, John Sterling (Monica Moore), Jennifer Beccard (Bob) and Kathie Nadeau (James); his grandchildren, Evan, Stacey, Rachael, Marissa and Melia; and his great grandchildren, Lauren and Sterling. He is also survived by niece and nephews.
