With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathryn Mielke of South Haven, Michigan, born in Benton Harbor, Michigan, who passed away on December 17, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Evelyn Nower (Peters) and Lester Nower; her husband Thomas Mielke; her children, Marie Mielke and Paul Edward Mielke; and her sister Maxine Zolen.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Mielke of South Haven, Michael Mielke (Tiffanni) of South Haven, Lisa Portolese (Mike) of Mishawaka, Karla Warriner (Lincoln) of Jackson, Michigan and Tommie Mielke Jr. (Melea) of Kalamazoo; her grandchildren, Dominique (Rob), Nathan, Paulette, Josh, Katie (Matt), Michael, Olivia, Abby, Karah, Ryan (Emily), Emily, Audrey (Austin), Ben, Heaven, Caleb, Lily, Noah, Thomas III and Matthew; and her siblings, Gratia Soergel of South Haven, Mary Bailey of South Haven, Terry Franklin-Kelch of South Haven, Frances Gomez of Berlin and Rex Nower of Benton Harbor. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
