He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schmitt and Annie Schmitt; and his brothers, Carl Schmitt and John Schmitt. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Desimone; his son Jerold Schmitt (Nicole); his grandchildren, Brianna Schmitt and Andrew Schmitt; and his brother Jim Schmitt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
