He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Schnake and Rose Schnake (Swetay); his spouse Alada Darty; his grandchildren, Alada Zantello and Brandon Zantello; and his sister Barbara Dumdie.
He is survived by: his children, James S. Schnake (Karen), Carol Lockard (Dave) of South Haven, Steven Zantello of Holland and Glenn Zantello of Jackson; and his brother Ronald Schnake. He is also survived by six grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
