He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gillis Wondergem and Anne Wondergem; his wife Cecilia; his children, Doug (Lisa), Eric, Amanda Creeden (Mike), Jess Morgan, Andrew, Emily (Kris VanWinkle) and David; and his siblings, Ken, Betty Wittkowski and Butch. He was also cherished by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
