He was predeceased by: his parents, John Itzen and Jessie Itzen of South Haven, Michigan.; his wife Aileen; his stepson Dana Carper; and his stepgrandchildren, Hannah and Jordan Chandler.
He is survived by: his daughters, Loris Cook (Joe) of Ilwaco and Lynda Wilson of Sequim, Washington; and his stepdaughters, Kathy Carper of Libby, Montana, Debbie Lucosyk (Brian) of Astoria and Markell Chandler of Libby. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Eugene usually drove to Astoria in the fall, but due to COVID-19 and the forest fires, he became a full-time Yuma resident in 2020.
