He was predeceased by: his brother Joseph Kozlowski; his siblings-in-law, Marie Bergstrom and Charles Bergstrom; his wife Marion Bergstrom; his friend Ron Kozlik; and also Buddy.
He is survived by: his wife Christy; his brother Bruno Kozel (Barbara) of Glouster; his nieces, Lisa LeVasseur and Laura Calcheras; his nephew Rob Kozel; his children, James Smith Jr. and Laurie Tanczos (Tom); his siblings-in-law, James Bergstrom, Oscar Bergstrom (Wanda) and Carol Noykos (Duane); his grandchildren, Kristin Reinink (Phill), James Smith III (Rachel) and Taylor Tanczos; his great grandchildren, Reese Christine and Crue Charles Reinink; and his nieces and nephews, Sandy Warren (Bill), Karen Dombrowski (Jeff), Matt Noykos (Sonja), Cheryl Ondrias (Dave), Aaron Tanczos (Tara) and Megan Shank (Nate).
