He was predeceased by: his parents, John VanDenBerg and Henrietta VanDenBerg (VanPutten); his son Mark VanDenBerg; his brothers, John, Jay and Jerry VanDenBerg; and his stepdaughter Tricia Carlson.
He is survived by: his wife Helen VanDenBerg (Froehlich); his children, Dennis VanDenBerg, Robert VanDenBerg (Anna), Duane Carlson and Terry Carlson (Julie); his grandchildren, Peter VanDenBerg, Cameron VanDenBerg, Austin Carlson (Taylor), Colleen Carlson, Micayla Carlson and Devon Carlson; and his great grandchild Tessa Carlson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church - Sodus (4071 Naomi Rd, Sodus, MI 49126). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church (4701 Naomi Rd, Sodus, MI 49126).
