She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan Bittner and Edith Bittner (Prillwitz); her husband Max O. Stover; her sister Jeanne Schulz; and her daughter Sharon Ann Stover.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kristine Stover (Brad Miller), Darlene Litaker (Roger), Maxine Valenti and Karleen Stover (Mick Whitehead); her grandchildren, Amy Torres, Adam Litaker, Sabrina Harras, Rebekah Kruzel, Bridget Bahner, Abe, Max, Sam, Ben and Laurel Whitehead; and her great grandchildren, Nathan Litaker, Sophia, Sarah Torres, Brody Litaker, Carter, Ethan Harras, Aria, Asher Kruzel, Carson and Lincoln Bahner.

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Napier Parkview Baptist Church or Berrien County Cancer Service.

“Aunt Dorothy was a wonderful woman who always had a soft demeaner and caring touch. I really enjoyed our family's getting together for dinners and sharing times together over macaroni and cheese with hot dogs when we were growing up! Then, all the time spent in the apple orchards picking up the fallen apples off the ground in the snow and Aunt Dorothy would bring us hot chocolate and fix us a warm lunch. She will be greatly missed.”
