She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Smith and Katherine Smith (Blashill); her husband Clifford Hazzard; and her son Jeffrey Flavel Hazzard. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Beutler, Lynette Boshaw, Garth Hazzard (Joyce) and Rex Hazzard (Deborah); her brother Olin Smith (Joyce); her grandchildren, Troy Jeffrey Hazzard and Cheryl Beutler; her sons-in-law, Harmon Boshaw and Ronald Beutler; and her brothers, Flavel Smith and Enright Blashill.

Memorials in memory of Janette may be made to the Gideon's or to United Hospice Services of Marlette Regional Hospital.
