He was predeceased by: his parents, Merlyn Smith and Mary Lou Smith (Sawdon); and his brother Brady Smith. He is survived by: his children, Tony Smith (Heather), Christy Seifferlein (Michael), Michael Smith (Emily), Matthew Smith (Tami), Sarah Smith and David Smith (Angela).
