It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence Phillips of Smiths Creek, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on July 10, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack McAlpine and Ernestine McAlpine; her brother William McAlpine; her parents-in-law, Russell and Margaret Phillips; and her grandson Trevor Pavey.
She is survived by: her husband Dwain Phillips; her children, Kimberly Pavey (Steve), Rodney Phillips and Russell Phillips (Laura); her great grandchildren, Malerie and DJ; her siblings, Sylvia Adolph (late Ken), Bob McAlpine (Nyla) and Barb Sherlock (late Chuck); her aunt Mary Chambers (late Charlie); and her sisters-in-law, Karen Ritz, Janice Kaufman (Bob) and Cheryl Franzel. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial tributes may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
