He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Turunen and Nancy Turunen (Mattson); and his son Bradley Turunen. He is survived by: his wife Lenore "Sue" Ahlsen of Skanee; his sons, Jeremy Turunen of Negaunee and Kristopher Turunen (Brianna Koski) of North Carolina; his brother John Turunen (Sue) of L'Anse; his grandchildren, Brooks, Hayes and Max; his parents-in-law, Charles and Sharon Ahlsen; and his siblings-in-law, Charles Ahlsen (Roxy Clement) and Sara Ahlsen. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
