He is survived by: his son Russell "Rusty" Royal (Sheila) of Baraga; his former wife Lorraine Bonini of Hancock; his grandchildren, DySean of Baraga, Dhanya of Baraga and Breyelle of Baraga; and his sister Judy Wingfield of Illinois. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
