With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Ann Burris of Six Lakes, Michigan, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on December 17, 2020 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Doris Ruth (Medley) and John Nickelson; her husband Richard D. Miller Sr.; her stepson Richard Miller Jr.; her sisters-in-law, Joyce and Sissy Miller; and her pet Peaches.

She is survived by: her siblings, Carol Novak (Jim) of Comstock Park and Ted Nickelson (Marianne) of Grand Rapids; her close friend Carolyn Harrington of Coopersville; her children, Dwayne Nickelson (Pam) of Portland, Dawn Shillinger (Richard) of Grand Rapids, Victoria Hardy (Robert) of Six Lakes and Melissa Burris (Richard Perry) of Alpharetta, GA; her stepchildren, Ronna Wiseman (Keith) of Acworth, GA, Bruce Whitmore of Sturgis, Ricky Miller of Grand Rapids, Timothy Miller of Powder Springs, GA and Karen Snyder (Kevin) of Portage; and her grandchildren, Ashley VanDyken (Danny) of Traverse City, Amber Beach (Thomas) of Blanchard, Jordan Shillinger (Krystina) of Grandville, Felicia Braman (Andrew) of Blanchard and Thomas Nickelson (Cortney) of Portland. She is also survived by several step grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several step great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends.
