She is survived by: her parents, Madalynn Opper and Travis Opper; her sister Lilly Grace; her grandparents, Wendy Magee (Ken), Ernest Bowen Jr., Ron and Connie Opper; and her great-grandparents, Billie Thorington, Ernest Bowen Sr. and Robin Bowen. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

For those who wish to make a donation in River's honor, memorial contributions may be directed to either Travis or Madalynn Opper as they navigate the start of their own funding for families in childhood cancer journeys.
