He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley; his parents, Amos Pool and Nellie Pool (Thume); and his siblings, Williard, Amos, Jaunita Painter (Pool) and Cora Densmore (Pool).
He is survived by: his son Allen Pool (Chris) of Battle Creek, MI; his grandchildren, Joseph McDaniel-Pool, Angela Pender (Steven), Daniel Pool, Lacy Howe (Kevin) and Tracy Vogelsong; his great grandchild Grayson Pender; his sisters, Doris Baird of Grand Rapids and Nora Pool of Six Lakes; and his aunt Ruth McCandless of Florida.
