With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Monagene Eggleston of Six Lakes, Michigan, born in Remus, Michigan, who passed away on July 7, 2021 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vern R. Crittenden and Rosalinda Crittenden (Zielke); her husband Ernie Eggleston; her brother Jack; her sister-in-law Lois Crittenden; her sister Fawn; her brother-in-law George Daggett; and her niece Cindy Crittenden Thren.
She is survived by: her former husband Ernest Eggleston; her friend Ruthie; her daughters, Elaine Laing (Brad) of Simpsonville, SC, Jane Vaughn (Dave Skutt) of Six Lakes and Rebecca Godfrey (Harvey) of Holland; her grandchildren, Nicholle Goodnight (Tom), Andrew Laing (Tonja), Sara Jane Chapman (Derick), Elizabeth Castaneda (Alejandro) and Jacklynn Brunet (Joseph); and her great grandchildren, Cooper, Abby, Emily, Millie Goodnight, Ayden, Charley, Sam Laing, Tristan Nash, Gator Chapman, Daniel, Olivia, Alejandro Jr. Castaneda, Jackson and Harper Brunet. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Monagene's name may be made to the Church of the Gentle Shepherd or a charity of the donor's choice.
