He was predeceased by: his parents, George Henry and Ilene Ruth Thomsen (Morgan). He is survived by: his sons, Shad Thomsen (Jennifer Bashore) and Shaun (Stephen Thomsen); his grandchildren, Kelsey Knefely and Hayden Knefely; his siblings, Jean Thomsen of Rockford and Jeff Brockdorf of Escanaba; his close friend Britt Bentz of Grand Haven; his nephews, Trever Thomsen, Jared Thomsen, Luke Brockdorf, Zach Brockdorf and Matt Brockdorf; and his niece Molly Brockdorf.
Visitation with the family is from 5-7 p. m. on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Christiansen's Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where envelopes for memorial contributions for the wishes of the family will be available. (Guests are reminded to be considerate of others by wearing masks and practicing social distancing.). Burial will take place privately at North Sidney Cemetery.
