He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Ehle and Ludell Ehle (Peterman); his wife Donna Ehle (Webb); his daughter Linda Myers; his stepmother Dorothy Ehle; his parents-in-law, Ken and Dorothy Webb; his son-in-law Curt Myers; his siblings, Pat Hopkins, Joyce Wallace and Bernard Ehle; and his brothers-in-law, Albert "Buck" Hopkins, Don Wallace and Bob Niswonger.

He is survived by: his children, Mary Jane Petersen (Darwin) of Sidney, Sharon Barnaby (Garry) of Sumner, Edward Jr. Ehle (Michele) of Sidney and Michael Ehle (Ruth) of Sidney; his grandchildren, Paul Petersen of Stanton, Patrick Petersen (Holly Moreland) of Stanton, Andrew Krause (Katie) of Greenville, Brandy Krause of Washington State, Neca Ehle (Shawn Rosenbrook) of Fenwick, Edward III Ehle (Jennifer) of Lakeview, Kendra Mosqueda of Sidney, Trevor Wireman (Heather) of Stanton, Tim Cashen of Grand Rapids and Todd Cashen of St. Louis; his siblings, Virginia Niswonger of Ohio, Margaret Morris (Gilbert) of Fenwick, Fred Ehle (Joyce) of Sheridan, Eugene Ehle (Rose) of Stanton and Milo Ehle (Molly) of Sidney; and his siblings-in-law, Diane Baty of Arizona, Rosie Ehle of Palo and Fred Webb of Stanton.
