He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Short and Bessie Short (Burggren); his wife Elizabeth Blount; his sister Jean Neil; and his granddaughter Casey Button.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Harris (Ada) of Carson City, Cliff Short of San Antonio, TX, Denise Harris-Button of Greenville, Chris Short (Cathy) of Dexter, Connie Everingham (Kevin) of Sheridan, Kimberly Short of Crystal and Corrine Short (Kevin Musser) of Cedar Springs; and his siblings, Ruby Berkimer, Lelia Mann and Jim Short. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
