He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Valentine and Mary Magdalene Kerr (May); his grandson Casey Hanline; his brother James Kerr; and his nieces and nephews, Tabitha and Kelly.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ann Smalley; his children, Kimberly Kerr and Todd Kerr (Shanni); his grandchildren, Alysha, Amy Bahr (David), Killian and Jack; his great grandchild Hunter; his siblings, Andy Kerr (Becky), David Kerr (Cindy), Valerie Gave (Fred), Barb Morgan (Garland), Velma Croft, Deb Ardis and Rosie Kerr; and his sister-in-law Sandi Smalley.
A memorial service with military honors is being planned for a later date after COVID gathering restrictions are relaxed and interment will take place at Balcom Cemetery near Ionia.
