It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phillip Dean Mercer of Sheridan, Michigan, who passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elton Mercer and Geneva Mercer (Husted); and his niece Rebecca Witter. He is survived by: his wife Dee; his children, Annette Mercer (Norman Couture) of Harrison, Loria Ann Hoffman (Brock) of Westphalia and David Mercer (Melissa) of Stanton; his grandchildren, Christina Burch (Steve) of Harrison, Erica Avery of Harrison, Nicole Avery of Mt. Pleasant, Danielle Brock (John II) of Clyde, Alexis McCombs (Thomas) of Muskegon and Kassandra Mercer of Stanton; his great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jenelle, Seth, Savannah, Brooklyn and Lucas; his sisters, Elaine Witter of Carson City and Sandra Mercer (Wyman Valiket) of Stanton; his nephew Russell Witter; and his nieces, Holly Hayes and Jennifer Orlowski.
