He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Clarence and Dorothy Mae Oakes (Wallace); his son Allen Oakes; and his grandson Kyle Oakes. He is survived by: his wife Claudia Oakes; his children, Tina Anderson and Michael Oakes (Tracy); his grandchildren, Amber Schnur (Daryl), Madison Parkison (John), Natalie Davenport (Anderson), Pete Anderson (Emily), Sean Oakes and Ksathy Miller (Damien); his great grandchildren, Luka Davenport, Abigail Schnur, Karina Davenport and Dorothy Anderson; and his sister Patricia Astorino. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
