With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Juanita Jean Howland (Sheridan, Michigan), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her former husband Alger Merrifield; her husband Floyd Holliday; her grandson Joshua Stout; her parents, Julian Howland (Jack) and Florence Howland; her sister-in-law JoAnne Howland (Cookie); her son-in-law LeRoy Porter; her great great grandchild Noah Himebaugh; and her niece Teri Howland.
She is survived by: her children, Deb Porter, Doug Merrifield (Lorna), Sandy Stout (Steve), Brian Merrifield and Michelle Marin (Aaron); her grandchildren, Jeromy Shoen, Michael Shoen, Kylie Shoen, Dominick Merrifield, Jedadiah Merrifield, Justin Stout, David Merrifield, Andrew Merrifield, Mariah Marin, David Porter, Annette Shelly and Joe Porter; her brother Robert Howland; her nephew Ron Howland; her niece Bonnie Lundgren; and her friends, Susie, Dean Smith and Paula Beard. She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks you direct a memorial donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Winnie's name. St. Jude's was special to Winnie and she faithfully made a donation every year.
