He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Sr. Hopkins and Beatrice Hopkins (Jeffrey); his son Philip Hopkins; his grandson Christopher Cranmer; and his siblings, Albert Jr. Hopkins (Pat), Raymond Hopkins (Rose), Cleo Hemmingsen (Art), Betty Johnson and Shirley Nostrant (Larry).
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Hopkins; his children, Christine Hopkins-Cranmer (Wayne) of Gowen, Kenneth Hopkins (Tammy) of Sheridan and Alan Hopkins (Wendy) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Adam, Nathan, Jennifer, Jason, Jacob and Tyler; and his great grandchildren, Hallie, Teigen, Zoey, Zada and Blake. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
