He was predeceased by: his parents, August Gachter and Evelyn Gachter (Prowdley); and his siblings, Mary Lou Gachter, Donna Rasmussen, Joan Gallagher, Ralph Gachter and Robert Gachter.
He is survived by: his wife Laurie Gachter; his children, Denise Ledford (Jeff) of Stanton, Kari Korhorn (Dale) of Rockford and Donald Gachter of Sheridan; his grandchildren, Lane Ledford of Stanton and Libby Ledford of Stanton; his siblings, Joyce Noah of Mesa, Arizona, Janette Brace of Stanton, Dick Gachter (Penny) of Sheridan and Jack Gachter (Marcia) of Mesa, Arizona; his friend Gordy Goodwin of Sheridan; his siblings-in-law, Gary and Lina Todd; and his nephew Robert Todd of Miami. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
