He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Zmich and Sybil Zmich; his wife Carol; his grandchild Shelbi Fischer; his brother Michael Zmich (late Maria); and his siblings-in-law, Mary Jane MacDonald (late Greg), Frank Becker (Diane) and Jim Becker (late Denise).

He is survived by: his children, Debbie Fischer (Joe), Karen Glugla (Chris) and Dan Zmich (Lynn); his grandchildren, Stefanye Fischer, Sierra Carlson (Bob), Carley Glugla, Faith Powers, Alexis Glugla, Carson Glugla, Gabriella Zmich, Avery Glugla and Alexander Zmich; his great grandchildren, Savana of Kylee, CJ and Jackson; his sister Mary Ann Makar (Paul); and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Becker, Emily Plewa (Tony), Donna Bremerkamp (Dave), Richard Becker and Norman Becker (Linda).
