She was predeceased by: her parents, Hanna Mio and Aznef Foumia Mio; and her spouse Paulus Ekkem. She is survived by: her children, Salam Akm (Ban), Niran Ekkem (Mansour) and Ziad Ekkem (Nada); and her siblings, Adel Mio, Sabah Mio, Adnan Mio, Ray Mio, Johny Mio, Masouda Sitto, Hanaa Tawel and Bushra Mio.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. George Chaldean Catholic Church (45700 Dequindre Rd, Shelby Township, MI 48317). A committal service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery (621 W Long Lake Rd, Troy, MI 48098). A reception will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Memorial Luncheon & Prayer Vigil Mound Palace Banquet Hall (38435 Mound Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48310).
