She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Smigels and Anna Smigels; her husband Richard; and her brothers, Frank and Joseph.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Colley (Robert), David Strzelecki (Rosalie), Karen Hyde (Scott), Sharon Rose and Catherine Clore (Jack); her grandchildren, Deidre Cooper, Bobby Colley, Alaina Hyde, Austin Hyde (Hilary), Holly Dawson (Chris), Kristy Ruegsegger (Spencer) and Jenna LaForest (Ryan); and her siblings, Germaine and John. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home (49150 Schoenherr Rd, Shelby Twp, MI 48315). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc. (49150 Schoenherr Rd, Shelby Twp, MI 48315). A committal service was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
