With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Leigh Thomas (Shelby Township, Michigan), who passed away on January 31, 2025 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As David Leigh departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved David Leigh. Though David Leigh may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David Thomas and Joan Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Rhonda; and his siblings, Jeff Thomas and Cindy Grabowski. He is also survived by numerous nephews, a niece.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Shepherd's Gate Church (12400 23 Mile Rd, Shelby Township, MI 48315). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association (https://diabetes.org), multiple myeloma research (myeloma.org or themmrf.org), or Gilda's Club (gildasclubdetroit.org), three causes close to Dave's heart, in honor of his enduring spirit and love for others.
