It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Albert John Walter of Shelby Township, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on December 13, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Walter; and his brother Thom Walter. He is survived by: his daughters, Jill Daian (Todd), Lisa Coley (Michael) and Julie Bobowski (Scott); his grandchildren, Mikie Coley (Meadow Pary), Shelby Antoon (Kevin), Jeffery Daian (Hannah), Morgan Jacobs (Drew), Riley Bobowski and Brooke Bobowski; his great grandchild Mckinnley; and his sisters, Bette Knapp (Fred) and Mary Abate (late Phil). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a brother-in-law.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home (49150 Schoenherr Rd, Shelby Twp, MI 48315). A prayer was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 5:30 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Michael Catholic Church (40501 Hayes Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48313). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
