He was predeceased by: his wife Esther Engelhardt; his parents, Henry Ranke and Elsie Ranke; his stepmother Florence Ranke; and his stepbrothers, Gerald and Bruce Babcock.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Romain (Dale) of Caro, Jill Mitchell of Caro, Jacqueline Bishop (Robert) of Ada and Henry Ranke (April) of Bay City; his brother Gary Ranke (Diana); his stepbrother Donald Babcock of Saginaw; and his son-in-law Lewis Mitchell of Sebewaing. He is also survived by 4 grandsons, 10 granddaughters, 38 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Brian's House.
