It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sonia Marie Pierce of Sebewaing, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on January 25, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Thifault and Sonia Thifault (Samonek); her sister Helene Snyder; and her brother-in-law Jerry Tinskey. She is survived by: her husband Harry J. Pierce; her children, Michael Pierce (Lynn Wisniewski), Darlene Bowman (Rick), Kelly L. Pierce (Debbie) and Geraldine McGee (Bob Francis); her sister Patricia Tinskey; her grandchildren, Michael, Jr. Pierce (Christine), Erica C. Plummer (Thomas), Jessica M. Bowman (Christopher Whitson), Jacob R. Bowman (Candice), Kelly L., Jr. Pierce (Rebecca), Michelle R. Smith, Krystan I. Foreman and Hillary Howard; and her close friend Debbie Strieter (Lee J. Kitchen). She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren.
