She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Simons and Mildred Simons (Maturen); her husband Curtis Baur; her son Paul LaPorte; and her brothers, Larry, Gene, Ralph and Melvin Simons.

She is survived by: her children, Dawn Miller (Greg), Teresa Baur (Jeff Dhont) and Laurie Bauer; her grandchildren, Latricia Higgins (Aaron), Leslie Miller and Mitchell Miller; her great grandchildren, Adonis, Aaron, Jr., Jayden, Grayson and Mariah; and her sisters-in-law, Arlene Simons, Joyce Simons, Doris Simons and Diann Simons. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
